Established in 2020 by travel writer Ramon Stoppelenburg, The Quiet Reader is a quarterly only publication designed to present new international literary art, born in a town called Solitaire, in the state of Quarantine in the country of 2020.

Our goal is to publish mesmerizing creative fiction and non-fiction, flash prose, travel writing, and literary translations, from emerging and established writers.

We love writing that is adventurous, fresh and feels like that late-summer first day at school when you were young. We want to know the characters involved and to go on a journey where we can smell, taste and hear the locations you visit. Any subject, any genre, any style. English language only. Less Americana, though, more International.

Our standards are high. All work will be vetted by preliminary readers, then referred to our editors.
